Future President of the United States,
Taylor Hayen Cooper
Two thumbs up to all the voters!
Not only is he good looking he is intelligent.
I want you!
Okay you can vote for me, I'll let you!

V-day / Cooper for Prez

Well, I am finally on the countdown to the worst day of the year. All florists know and dread it... V-day. For those of you not in my field of work it is probably one of your favorite days of the year. Your Husbands or Wives smother you with gifts and love. For me, and David just by association, it is probably the total opposite. For all you husbands out there here is my advice that all florists would tell you, ORDER AHEAD!!! When you come in at the last minute to grab what ever is left in the floral cooler, All of us florists in the back room are laughing and making fun of you! So as I look forward to the 14th of February, The only thing getting me through and keeping me from total stress is that a week after David and I will be hopping a plane for a long fight to Europe. What a great way to destress! 10 days in the beautiful countrysides of Germany, Austria & the Chezk (?) republic. Although I have to admit not having been there and not having any idea what to expect I am a little stressed as what to pack and prepare for and not to prepare for. But anyway it is the chance of a lifetime, As long as I can make it through V-DAY!!!

As for the rest of our family not too much to report. Taylor ran for Class President and I am sorry to report he didn't make it this time. Although it is just for his 5th grade class of about 25. And The majority of the kids are girls and since it is 5th grade the girls vote for the girls and boys vote for boys so needless to say a girl won. Although he and David really went all out for his poster they had to make. David printed out a fake newspaper. And they took these cool pics of Taylor. Looking at these pictures you know that this kid will be in the public eye sometime in his future. But they had a lot of fun taking the pictures and everyone loved the poster. So Maybe someday in the future we may see Taylor the politician. Although his father would be strongly against it! He interviews too many of them and knows how fake they can be ;)! Well Hope you all have a great week! Men listen to the woman who knows! Order Early! Love ya all--

Happy New Year!

So I guess I have to keep up with all of our family and start blogging. I will try and update it when I have the time, so you had better remind me often! I can't remember half of what I need to these days so I'll try to keep at it.
3 of our 4 kids are back in school after what seemed like a long Christmas break. We had a lot of fun but it is nice to be back to our regular schedule. Laurel and I spend our mornings at the shop. (Flower shop, that is.) We work until 11:30 and pick up Joel at school, then depending on how busy the shop is we either go home or back to work. Much to Joel's dismay. Unlike Laurel he isn't to content there. But he is a good sport.
Taylor & Sydney are great scholars these days. They are flourishing at school and love it, well Sydney loves it anyway. She is at the top of her class and her teacher told us at her last conference that she is her best student! She is an avid piano player, about 4 months ago she came home from church, sat down at the piano and started hitting keys and in about 30 minutes could play "The Lord Has Blessed Me" a new song in primary. We just kind of stared at her and listened to her play the same song for about a month. Then she came home from school and plunked out "My Country Tis' of Thee". A friend heard her play and knew she had real talent and now gives her piano lessons with the help of her son who also plays by ear. So with their combined efforts she has all but mastered the piano, well not exactly mastered but she has quite a repertoire going and it grows everyday.
Taylor continues to breeze through everything that is put in front of him and his teacher has to work hard to keep him busy. I think she is running out of ideas to keep him occupied. I think he likes school deep down, although he would never admit it. He is my techno nerd, loves anything that has a current running through it. Especially the Wii he's grandpa and grandma gave us. He's looking forward to baseball this summer, I can't say that I am looking forward to spending all day at the baseball park but at least it will be warm! Love to you all and write soon!
